January 1, the beginning of a new year full of high hopes and great aspirations. Couldn't think of any other way to begin a new chapter ahead than off in the Columbia River Gorge hiking and exploring new places. Beacon Rock State Park is an amazing spot and on this particular day, a serendipitous experience full of little detours, snow flusters, and great company.
